Between My Legs

Roswell Ivory

I’ve been away for two weeks, touring Holland and Belgium. I was going to blog about that, but as sometimes happens when I leave England and work from dawn ’til dusk every day, I’ve missed something huge in the news and this time, it’s very serious.

As of April 1st, women in the UK who have genital piercings will be classed as victims of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

FGM is torture. Girls as young as nine have part or all of their genitalia removed- often without anaesthetic or sterilised blades. This includes the clitoris, labia and part of the urethra (wee tube).
It is a cultural practise centred around keeping girls ‘pure’ and it is not only excruciatingly painful but can lead to severe and fatal problems later. This includes:
– Difficulty and pain urinating- scar tissue can block the urethra and lead to infection.
– Fertility problems- menstrual…

Silly Old Tossers Banned From Being Photographers

The Beezly Street Gazette

A new law that bans silly old farts from buying expensive cameras and pretending to be model photographers, is coming into force next year.

model photography

Under the new legislation, silly old farts will still be allowed to spend three grand on a posh camera and lots of shiny new lenses. They will not be banned from taking pictures of jobbing models in Primark knickers, pretending that they’re doing it for the art, or from attending model workshops where the lighting is all set up for them.

The new law will however, prevent ridiculous old gits from setting up pages on Facebook pretending to be professional, jet-setting model photographers, that spend their days beating off lush young fanny with a shitty stick and getting paid for the privilege.

“It’s high time something was done about this,”

Said a spokesperson for real model photographers, that actually get paid to photograph models, and don’t…

Pratchett Fans Ask Death To ‘Take Clarkson Instead’

The Beezly Street Gazette

The sun has set for the final time upon the city of Ankh-Morpork, and fans of beloved author Terry Pratchett are already asking Death to do ‘Swapsies’ for Jeremy Clarkson.

A fan from Dublin said:

“I know Mort said ‘THERE’S NO JUSTICE. JUST US.’ but it’s just so horribly unfair. It’s not much to ask to bring him back, and take that egotistical, flappy-faced bigot Jeremy Clarkson instead, and we’ll even throw in Robin Thicke or E.L James. We’ll all pretend it never happened,”

A bereavement councillor, atheist and voracious reader said:

“Bargaining is a natural stage of grief, and many of us try to make a deal with God, Death and other supernatural forces as a way of coping with loss. Not once, in any single case has this ever worked. It is about as effective as asking the dog to do the washing up. But oh go on…

Bloomers! (NSFW)

, , , ,

Below are some 1920s inspired image of Fredau and me taken by vintage inspired photographers Trevor and Faye Yerbury, who are a husband and wife photography team based in Scotland.

Trevor and Faye do the most amazing work and their website is definitely worth checking out.

I styled the shoot myself with some help from Faye and I used some authentic 20s lingerie. The top that Fredau is wearing came from the loft of an old house in Belgium, and was gifted to me by the owner of the house. It is actually meant to be worn lacing up the back, but Fredau wears it back to front for effect in these images. The bloomers came from ebay and are also authentic.  I was desperate to do something using bloomers for a long time. These ones are open crotch, which was apparently pretty normal in days gone bye, for ease of use under those massive dresses that they wore!

We combined these 20’s clothing artifacts with loose pinned up voluminous soft hair (achieved by blow drying with lots of mouse) for a romantic feel and I added some “Girls Aloud” false eyelashes by Eyelux (these can be purchased in New Look and are really great quality for the price) for a smokey eyed boudoir look.

The photography effect was created at the time of shooting, and is not post process.

Some interesting trivia:

Bloomers are named after Amelia Bloomer who was born in 1818. She was a Social reformer, women’s suffrage activist and a writer.

Along with championing women’s suffrage, Bloomer also advocated women’s dress reform. At the time women typically wore confining corsets as well as several petticoats under their dresses. Bloomer suggested that women adopt a new style of wearing looser tops and skirts that stopped at the knee with a pair of pants underneath. Although others had worn this style before, it was Bloomer that made it widely known. The outfit was called “bloomers” after her.

Amelia Bloomer died on December 31, 1894, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Remembered mostly for a style of women’s fashion, she was actually an important contributor to the women’s rights movements.

Latex and Leather

, , ,

Here are some more latex styled images :). I wear latex panties and latex lace up peep bra, and a leather union jack waist belt by Obscure Couture. I think that the combination of the leather and latex textures work really well together in these images.

Some advice that I can give with regards to shooting in latex lingerie is that it is really important to make sure it is the correct fit or it can look terrible. Latex doesn’t stretch as much as some materials so you have to get the size right. Also, remember the lube for shine :).

McInnes also used a wind machine in this shoot to give me a soft, flowing hair look which is a great contrast to the strong, strict posing and styling.

Black Mesh Bra by John Barone

I did a great photoshoot in England with photographer John Barone a while back. I wore a black mesh set. The bra is the triangle type without underwiring, it looks great on photoshoots and gives a much softer look than the underwired bras (although I would recommend trying to go for a run in it :P). John combines the bra and panties with a retro look faded denim jacket and nude look makeup (done by Penny Grimley).

Burlesque Style Tips

, , , ,

Ooooh! I love burlesque!

I styled a really cool low budget but super sexy looking burlesque shoot a few months back….I got all the lingerie on discount or in outlets but the result were really great!

The black satin and mesh high wasted suspender belt is from Ann Summers, I got it from 8 Euro on their web shop! I really love the ruffles on it at the bum. I find Ann summers a great source of low priced  but sexy lingerie. The baby pink ribbed stockings are from Walford, but they came from an outlet for 10 Euro (they normally charge upwards of 50 Euros!), and the pearl style cupless bra that I have on underneath the non under wired mesh triangle one also came from the internet for only a few Euros! The cupless bra actually came from this really terrible, cheap looking set, I never used the single pearl string thong that went with it, but the bra was nice when teamed up.

For burlesque shoots, it can be really nice to layer lingerie up, like I did with the two bras, that way there is something more to strip off or to play with, and will give  the shoot a raunchy, teasy feel.

You can go really heavy with the make up, glam it up and dont be afraid, just remember to keep it classy looking at the same time! I was lucky to be working with Jak Morgan for hair and make up, shes really awesome, and we share a love of slightly raunchier images and I would say the best make up artist that I have worked with in Scotland.

Also with Burlesque shoots it important for the model to be really expressive. Think ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’ and ‘will I be naughty and show you whats underneath?’. I love this style, so for me its really not acting :P!

Corset Black (NSFW!)

, , , ,

Below are the images from one of my favorite ever corset shoots. I wear a black lace up 20 inch under bust corset that was gifted at a shoot (I would have preferred a smaller corset but we didn’t have one available) , a black cage style suspender belt with the hooks removed (from Ann Summers) and black patent peep toe stilettos. Shot on a dark brown backdrop combined with dark red glossy lips and pulled back hair, the effects are very classy yet erotic.

Silk Guilda and Pearl Babydoll by Jan Scholz

, , , , , ,

I spoke previously about the shoot that I did for Guilda and Pearl, the vintage style lingerie shop. Well after the shoot I was gifted by the company a silk with French lace champagne babydoll with matching panties. I then used this to style a shoot by German analogue photographer Jan Scholz, which led to fantastic, dreamy results.  I did my own hair and make up in these images.

Below are some images from the shoot, shot in different formats.
